The Wind Lake Drifters Snowmobile Club was established in 1973 and is still going strong. Several years ago the club was renamed Wind Lake/North Cape Drifters because over the years the hub of our trails has become more concentrated in the North Cape and Kansasville areas. The club is very family oriented with activities including a Christmas party, club trips, chili dump, vintage ride, and a summer camping trip in the Bong State Park. The Christmas party has become so well known with the kids that Santa even makes an appearance every year. In recent years the club has grown substantially, doubling in size from 2005 to 2008, and now includes over 100 member families.

The number one emphasis of the club is to mark and groom top notch trails in the North Cape and Kansasville areas. We currently maintain approximately 25 miles of trail. Even though marking the trails each year is a tremendous amount of work, we try to keep it fun by turning those days into small social gatherings afterward. Every fall the club hosts a Landowner Brunch to show appreciation to our 50+ landowners whose generosity makes our trail system possible.

The Wind Lake/North Cape Drifters continues to strive to promote safe and responsible snowmobiling for future generations as well as a positive relationship with landowners and farmers.
